Fogatero
This policy explains what Fogatero stores, how it uses account and songbook data, when other people can see your content, and how to contact us.
Effective 26 September 2026
When you register, we process your email address, invitation details, display name, and username. Supabase Auth handles your password and sign-in sessions. Our database stores your account ID, email, profile details, account role, and account timestamps.
Your songbook data includes chart text, lyrics, chords, song details, visibility choices, favourites, votes, custom chord shapes, and edit suggestions. Suggestions include the selected chart text, your proposed change, any note you add, and its review status.
Invitation checks store the email you enter and failed-attempt details. For unauthenticated rate limits, the app temporarily uses your IP address in server memory. Signed-in requests use your account ID for the same purpose.
New profiles and songs are public by default. A public profile page shows your display name, username, and public songs. Public charts include the chart text and song details you submit. Anyone can view public pages without an account.
Private profiles and songs do not appear on public pages. Authorized administrators can access private charts. Other people may copy or index public content, so changing a chart to private does not remove copies held outside Fogatero.
Supabase currently hosts the project database and Auth in region ap-southeast-2. The web hosting and email delivery providers depend on deployment settings and may process information in other locations under their own service terms.
You can delete songs and custom chord shapes in Fogatero. To request account deletion, contact us. Deleting an account removes its profile, favourites, votes, and custom chord records. Regular songs may remain in the songbook without a profile link; composer-authored songs are removed with the account. We may retain invitation and security records as needed to administer invitations, protect the service, or meet legal requirements. Backups follow provider retention schedules.
You can edit your profile, change profile or song visibility, and delete songs from your account. You can clear preferences and locally stored chord shapes through your browser, and revoke microphone access in its settings.
To request access to or correction of your account information, request account deletion, or raise a privacy concern, email privacy@fogatero.app.
Send privacy questions or complaints to privacy@fogatero.app. We will review your request. We will update this page and its effective date when this policy changes.
